Tinnitus Home Remedies to Stop ringing in the ears

Among the major causes of Tinnitus or ringing in the ears are the blockage of ears by any foreign substance like water that entered into one or both the ears while taking your regular bath or head injury as in an accident after the top of your head had struck against something hard as in an accident which gives rise to ringing in the ears. In the first case, you can lie down on one side for a few minutes and you will feel that something is oozing out of the ear on the side you were lying on. Then change the side and lie down for a few minutes. You will experience the same thing. With both of your ears cleared, tinnitus will stop. In the second case, put some ice pack on the top of your head for a few minutes and then at bedtime, wrap your head with some warm clothing. In the morning you will feel much better and after a few warm wraps at night, tinnitus will be over.

If tinnitus owes its existence to another complaint like sinusitis, then you can put a few drops of almond oil in both the nostrils to lubricate the mucous membrane and it will act so quickly that lumps of mucous will blow out of your nostrils easing the pressure on your Eustachian tube to stop the ringing. But after the deposits from your nostrils are cleared, you might feel a raw sensation in your nostrils while inhaling the air. It will be just a temporary problem Prepare a solution of warm water and table salt and put a few drops in both the nostrils every hour for one day. You can repeat this process whenever you find that the ringing in your ear is returning after a few days. You can easily manage the problem this way.

The application of tinnitus home remedies depends upon the causative factors of the problem. For example, if you have ringing in the ears after you had been in a party where orchestra was playing too loudly, you need to warm some mustard oil and put two drops each in both the ears. Mustard oil is known to soothe the eardrums.

If there are some remote causes and you have been suffering from tinnitus since long, the problem may require other forms of treatment.
