During the two months that one is using the ear phones, they are also attending classes that will help to strengthen their ability to filter out the Tinnitus. There is also one on one support provided, and clinicians are available at any time to answer questions.

The second stage of treatment involves an adjustment to the embedded sounds in the music. The patient will not notice a difference, but the brain will. The earphones are worn for two hours per day and then use decreases over the next four months.

The final stage is a maintenance program. This program is a regular Tinnitus just to make sure that a person is on track and not experiencing any problems. An individual can listen to their music whenever they start to feel a ringing in their ears.
